Hello my less Petty Pals; It's that time of the year when the weather changes and so does our mood. It's so much easier to be frustrated and irritated and sad because the sun isn't shining. In this video I share a few of my tips and tools that I use to get me prepared for the coming months. I also believe meditation and prayer and journaling are great tools to use as well. Fear can be a destructive LIFE stealing habit if we don't work towards lessening its loudness and moving through it any way. We can and often do move with/through fear. I honestly didn't realize how much of my every waking thought was some kind of judgment. Whether against myself or others. It's been eye opening to see, and a little saddening to admit but I do believe we can overcome anything; so I am going full force ahead with acknowledging this petty habit, looking it right in the face and no longer allowing it to control me, well sometimes...hey we're all a work in progress until our last breath is taken. We all wish we could just think about doing something new that we know is better for our lives and POOF, we have a new habit. But we all know this is not how it works; in fact it's VERY hard to create new habits and EVEN harder to break the ones we currently have that are not serving us. The Petty Habit Challenge is back. For the next 30 days I am going to be KEENLY aware of my judgmental ways in the hopes that this awareness helps minimize how much control this petty habit sometimes has over me. After last week video about the critical self, the friendlier parts of me showed me what my critical self was actually TRYING to say. (All parts of us teach us something about what we really want or who we really are.) As I started to listen and get clear about what I need; I saw this FEAR and PRIDEFULNESS creating a barrier between what I need and what I'm doing to stop that need from getting fulfilled. I also was unknowingly killing my plants; so I took a week to deal with them cautiously, patiently, and wholeheartedly. Here I am sharing with you my week and within it, my struggles, my fears, my insecurities; in hopes that you may see these same insecurities in your life or not...either way I'm learning that awareness is FREEDOM!
